1. Three days after the election, members of the Alaska Legislature are wasting no time in announcing their leadership and organizing their caucuses.

2. A Fairbanks woman charged with murdering her 5-year-old son was arrested Tuesday in Seattle, where she’d been taken to receive medical treatment.

3. The National Christmas Tree that's set up at the White House is coming from Alaska this year. And two Fairbanksans are driving a special, extra-long tractor-trailer to help haul the tree to Washington, D.C.

4. The Alaska Volcano Observatory has raised its alert level for a volcano west of Anchorage to yell, after signs of unrest.
